The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) launched the campaign “Travel to Enjoy, Travel to Reactivate.” It aims to boost domestic tourism across the country. With the upcoming long weekend (Friday to Monday, November 9), the ministry highlights several exciting travel options.
The goal is to reach 43.5 million visits to tourist spots. The ministry encourages travelers to explore internationally recognized destinations. On the "¿Y Tú Qué Planes?" website by Promperú, visitors can find tour packages priced between S/199 and S/659.
The platform also features unique destinations like Huancaya in Lima, Leymebamba in Amazonas, Maras in Cusco, Quinua in Ayacucho, and Sibayo in Arequipa. These villages are part of the UNWTO's "Best Tourism Villages in the World."
Other great travel ideas include the Chan Chan Archaeological Complex, now with improved tourist facilities; Arequipa, recognized as Peru's first "smart tourist destination"; Oxapampa, known as a "Charming Town"; and Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake.
Mincetur also provides a National Directory of Certified Tourism Service Providers. Travelers can check the legitimacy of companies before booking services at this link.
