The Ministry of Culture announced that ticket sales for visiting the Inca City of Machu Picchu in 2025 will start on December 19, 2024. Visitors, tour operators, and travel agencies can buy their tickets through the official website tuboleto.cultura.pe.
On that day, people can buy tickets to visit Machu Picchu from January 1 to January 5, 2025. Payments will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 11:58 p.m. This special payment schedule only applies on that day. After that, payments will follow the usual process.
Dates to buy 2025 tickets
The Ministry of Culture also shared a calendar for buying tickets for other dates:
- January 6 to January 31, 2025: Tickets on sale from January 3, 2025.
- February 2025: Tickets available from January 13, 2025.
- March 2025: On sale from January 14, 2025.
- April 2025: Available from January 15, 2025.
- May 2025: On sale from January 16, 2025.
- June 2025: Available from January 17, 2025.
- July 2025: Tickets on sale from January 20, 2025.
- August to December 2025: Tickets available from January 21, 2025.
This schedule follows the rules of the Ministerial Resolution No. 043-2024-MC, which defines ticket prices for archaeological sites and museums for 2025.
