You will soon see better buildings and services in the six Lambayeque museums run by the Ministry of Culture. The Ministry, working with the Regional Government of Lambayeque, will make these changes.
The Ministry of Culture, through the Executive Unit 005 Naylamp - Lambayeque (UE005), said it will fix up the buildings of six museums in Lambayeque. They will also work on the Ventarrón archaeological site.
Carlos Wester La Torre, head of UE005, said the Regional Government of Lambayeque will give about 2 million soles for this work. You will see improvements in Tumbas Reales, Brüning, Sicán, Túcume, Huaca Rajada de Sipán, Chotuna Chornancap, and Huaca Ventarrón.
With this money, workers will make the museums easier to visit. They will paint walls, fix paths, make ticket areas better, plant gardens, and improve restrooms.
"The Regional Government is finishing the plans now," Wester said. "They will start with the Huaca Rajada Sipán Museum, then Huaca Ventarrón. After that, they will work on Tumbas Reales, Brüning, Túcume, Chotuna, and Sicán."
You will have a better experience when you visit these museums. The work will help more people come and enjoy the culture of Lambayeque. Wester said all this will make Lambayeque a better place to visit.
He also said this work matches the national tourism plan. The six museums will join the new Tourist Route: Paths of Pope Leo XIV, led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
Finally, Wester talked about another project by the Regional Government. They want to use the "work for taxes" plan to improve the Tumbas Reales de Sipán Museum. This project will cost about 60 million soles. This museum is one of the most important places in Peru.
