Festuris, one of Brazil’s most important tourism fairs, held its 36th edition in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul. Peru stood out at the event thanks to Promperú’s strong presence.
Promperú launched the Peru Week Brasil campaign, offering Brazilian travelers special promotions on flights and tours to Peru. These deals include opportunities to explore Peruvian attractions and enjoy its famous peruvian food. The campaign runs until November 22, and offers can be found on https://peruweek.com.br/. Even Peruvian restaurants in Brazil are participating with exclusive promotions.
The Promperú stand became the focal point of the launch ceremony, bringing together leaders from Brazil’s tourism industry, the Peruvian delegation, and Silvia Seperack, the economic and commercial advisor of Promperú in Brazil. The Peruvian team included 79 tour operators, two consolidating agencies, two airlines, and 49 Peruvian restaurants spread across Brazil.
Visitors at the Peruvian stand learned about the country’s tourist attractions and the Peru Week campaign. They also enjoyed live cooking demonstrations, sampled traditional dishes, and watched a musical performance.
From January to September 2024, 141,630 Brazilians visited Peru, marking a 54% increase compared to the same period in 2023. This figure surpasses pre-pandemic levels and places Brazil as the fifth-largest source of tourists to Peru.
