The Tourism Management Committee of the Cajamarca Destination aims to boost the identity and economic development of the region, all within the framework of the Cajamarca Tourist and Cultural Week, scheduled for September 23 to 29.
This committee comprises entities such as Promperú, the Regional Chamber of Tourism, the National University of Cajamarca, and the District Municipality of Namora, among others, who have joined efforts to showcase the region's tourist attractions, engage local artisans, and promote foreign trade.
Among the discussed proposals, the identification of areas for installing cable cars, the Tantarica tourist circuit, and the improvement of the Cumbemayo-Chetilla and Baños del Inca-Laguna San Nicolás routes stand out.
The committee also planned the implementation of a tourism observatory to have detailed information on tourist behavior, allowing the relevant authorities to make more effective decisions. Furthermore, committee members will carry out high social impact activities, reaffirming their commitment to Cajamarca's sustainable development.
