Promperú organizes events with the goal of generating new business opportunities. A Peruvian delegation, along with tourism companies, traveled to China. Discover which regions caught the attention of the buyers. As we know, the Chinese market is of utmost importance for attracting more tourism to Peru.
These events were carried out with the aim of creating new business opportunities and exceeded USD 2.3 million in potential business.
It began with the presence of a Peruvian delegation at the ITB China 2024 international fair, consisting of 12 tourism companies, which managed to stand out among the attendees. Our representatives were able to interact directly with Chinese buyers.
Among the destinations promoted were the regions of Loreto, Cusco, Ica, Puno, and Lima, which captured the attention of buyers looking for alternatives to European and Central American destinations. As a result, a potential business opportunity exceeding USD 1 million was secured for companies showcasing tourism products.
Continuing with its promotional strategy, Promperú led a Business Roundtable in Beijing, where Peruvian tour operators reached a potential business of over USD 2.3 million, and tourism product companies an approximate figure of USD 454,000.
The Chinese market is of utmost importance for inbound tourism in Peru, thanks to its large population and the variety of tourism alternatives it offers. With actions like this, Promperú reaffirms its commitment to appreciation and understanding of Asian culture, striving to improve interactions and commercial relationships.
