Aruba is positioning itself as a prime destination for Peruvian tourists, with significant growth anticipated in the coming years. According to Jordan Schlipken, director of the Aruba Tourism Authority for Latin America, the island expects to welcome around 20,000 Peruvian visitors in 2024, marking a remarkable 169% increase from the previous year.
Jordan Schlipken, director of the Aruba Tourism Authority for Latin America, gave statements to the media outlet Perú 21, where he indicated that an estimated 20,000 Peruvians are expected to visit the island in 2024. This projection would represent a 169% increase compared to the previous year.
The country has been investing to attract Peruvian tourists: "Peru is a very relevant market for Aruba, one of the most important," stated the official. He also mentioned that a figure of 23,000 travelers is expected for 2025.
One of the factors explaining the arrival of Peruvians to Aruba is the availability of direct flights from Lima. Currently, Latam Airlines operates 4 weekly flights and is looking to add one more in October.
Additionally, Avianca and Copa Airlines also offer flights to Aruba, though with connections from Bogotá or Panama, respectively.
